Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week I will be focusing on a problem that many gamers face in today’s world of gaming. For years gamers have always had to leave behind beloved games of the past when switching to a new gaming console. With every new generation of gaming that is released the previous generation eventually gets left behind and often forgotten about. For instance, I grew up playing on the Nintendo 64, but nowadays everyone is playing video games on much more advanced systems. Because so many technological advances have happened in the gaming industry they no longer make the Nintendo 64 or any of its games. Unless you managed to hold on to your system from childhood it is really hard to find a way to play any of the great titles that were released for this gaming console. Thankfully someone had the great idea to create what is known as an emulator. An emulator is a program that allows a computer system to run exactly like another. This is very handy for anyone who would like to play games on a system they no longer have. For example, I downloaded a Nintendo 64 emulator on my computer which allows me to play Nintendo 64 games without even having the console or the games themselves. It is an extremely easy system to setup and start using right away. Emulators can be downloaded for all types of different systems from GameBoy, PlayStation, and Xbox, and can run on most every type of computer (windows, Apple IOS, etc). In the video below I show a short demonstration of how to download an emulator on your computer and what it looks like when the emulator is in use. Thank you for visiting my blog please come back next week for more interesting information about the world of video games!
