Who Am I?
Hello to everyone and anyone who is reading my blog! My name is Drew Quinlin and I am a 23 year old undergraduate student at Washington State University. In the Spring of 2017 I will be graduating with a degree in Communication with an emphasis in advertising and a minor in Business. Besides being enrolled in 381 I also work on campus as a student fundraiser at the Alumni Center. From this class I hope to gain knowledge of how to create successful types of media messages. I also want to gain experience in creating different types of media messages. Lastly, I want to have fun being the manager of my own blog for a semester.
I am a native of the Pacific North West and currently I live in Kent, Washington which is about 30 minutes away from Seattle. The reason I say that I am a native of the area is because I moved around a lot as a kid living throughout varies cities between Oregon and Washington. I would say that I have a bigger sized family as I am the oldest child of four. I am followed by my three brothers Cole, Carter, and Carson. I graduated from Bellevue HIgh School. While in High School I was very involved with my school baseball team. I was a captain for three years and loved every season. By the end of high school I was ready to get out of the house and move on to bigger opportunities. Once I moved away from my parents and came to Pullman I knew I had found my real home. Coming to Washington State University has been one of the best decisions of my life and it has lead me to make many friends and connections that I will have for life. Being in my final year is bitter sweet knowing that I will be leaving soon but also moving on to aspire toward new goals in my life. So far my time at WSU has been very fruitful. As a freshman I joined a fraternity and throughout my time with the chapter house I served in many executive positions. Being at WSU and being a member of a fraternity has really helped shape who I am today. Some of my interests include playing guitar, playing video games, exercise, reading, and going to sports events. As always go Cougs!
