Hello everyone I’m back again this week to share with you about advertising in the gaming industry. In particular, I will be showing you, in my opinion, one of the best video game ad campaigns that there ever was. I believe the best ad campaign was the Kevin Butler “It only does everything” and “Long Live Play” advertising campaign by Sony. These ads were focused around the main character “Kevin Butler” who was the Vice President of various fictitious departments within the PlayStation department of Sony. Although that may seem boring the commercials were always very entertaining. The ad campaign ran from 2009-2011 and was constantly coming out with new ads which really helped to keep the campaign fresh and interesting. The reason I personally thought this was the best campaign was because the commercials always made me laugh and displayed all the cool things the PlayStation was able to do. During the time this campaign was going on I was still in middle school and after seeing these ads on television all the time I was very motivated to try and purchase a PlayStation. Seeing as I was still very young there was no way that I could afford one at the time but it was still fun to see the commercials. I will now leave you guys with a clip of what my personal favorite ad was from the campaign, hopefully you all enjoy it as much as I did!
Here are a few other sights with more content from this ad campaign.

Here you can see some of the best ads voted by other people. This is a good site because it has the videos better showcased than youtube in my opinion.
