Hello everyone and welcome back to my blog! This week is a special week as it will mark the end of my blog about the world of video games. But before I sign off I just wanted to reflect on my blogging experience over the past few months. There are many things that I learned throughout my time as a blogger about video games and the video game industry. I had always known that there was a lot of work put into creating a video game and then trying to get it out to the public. However, with how much games have advanced, I did not realize the mass amount of man power it takes to bring a game to life. In order to create a game you obviously need the programmers, developers, designers, etc., but then you have to bring in testers, hire artists for visuals, hire people to create a soundtrack, the list goes on and on. Basically at the end of the day it is a massive process to create a video game and in many cases games can take decades to fully develop. Although it does seem little chaotic the growth in the video game industry has led to the creation of thousands of new jobs.
By doing research for this blog I would still like to find more information about the future of the gaming industry. With so many virtual reality systems becoming available to the consumer I feel like game developers are quietly working on ways to apply these systems to gaming. Right now there are a few types of virtual reality systems that do include games, but, they are not quite at their full potential and we have yet to see companies like Nintendo or Microsoft break into this market yet. I feel like there is a huge potential for the gaming industry in this area and if they are successful in creating more workable systems we could see the next generation of gaming in the near future.
I still want to continue to do research about the video game industry and where it is headed but I mostly likely will not continue writing about it in a blog. However, I do think it would be really fun to work for the marketing team for a game developer. With how much the industry has advanced over the years it has been really cool seeing the different ad campaigns for games change. Now with modern technology you can really showcase the quality of a game through a very short ad. Plus it would be a really fun job to go in and work with other people who enjoy the games as well. I think that there is a potential for me to work in this industry one day, but who knows. For now I just wanted to say that this blog has been a great experience and thank you to anyone and everyone who visited my blog!

Here is me with my original GameBoy Color that I grew up playing as a kid. As well as the my orgininal Pokemon Blue version. I am surpised I have been able to hold onto these for so long.
